The Callaway Gardens / Coach Wood itinerary can be found here and the roster can be found here. The online invoices were sent out on Friday. Please let me know if you see any mistakes or if you did not receive the online invoice.
The following information will be important:
1. We will begin loading at the front of the High School on Thursday morning at 9:30am. We will be departing around 9:45am.
2. MEALS: The cost of the trip ($225) covers transportation, hotel, ropes discovery and zip lining course on Thursday or Friday, Thursday Pizza Dinner, and Friday’s all you can eat Pasta Dinner (menu includes: pasta, 3 different types of sauces, grilled chicken, salad, bread, assorted deserts). The athletes will be responsible for their other meals. The cottages have full kitchens with refrigerators. Therefore, athletes are encouraged to bring any food items they would like for breakfast and lunch. We will stop at a grocery store once we get to Callaway Gardens to get any items athletes need for breakfast and lunch.
3. Zip lining Waiver: The zip lining waiver is required for all athletes and can be found here. Please turn this in before you load on Thursday.
Additional costs: Athletes will be responsible for the following items:
i) breakfast and lunch meals
ii) The cost of the trip includes the Discovery zip lining course. However, Athletes will be allowed to go on the advanced zip lining course across the lake at their own expense ($15) if they choose
iii) any other misc. expenses at the meet (tee shirts).
4. Entertainment: Athletes are encouraged to bring any items for entertainment. There are places for outdoor games and other activities. We will discuss this at practice.
5. Team Rules: The athletes were informed of the team rules on trips. Specifically, athletes are to be in groups of 3 or more at all times. The girls’ and boys’ rooms are in separate locations so there should be no boys in girls’ rooms or vise-versa at any time for any reason. Finally, there are no athletes outside of the rooms after curfew. All other school rules will be enforced. Parents will be contacted for violations of team policy. We are traveling to have an exciting and fun time and student-athlete safety is our primary concern.
